After a week off due to my work schedule, I’m back with another addition of the IU Basketball Midweek Report. Miss me? I thought so. On this podcast, I’ll kick things off by taking a look back at the Minnesota game, including what I liked and did not like from the IU coaching staff. About midway through the podcast, you’ll here my interview with Inside the Hall’s Jordan Littman. He helps me further break down the loss to Minnesota, preview the Penn State game (Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network) and examine Indiana’s recruiting of big men to replace Noah Vonleh, who I believe is headed for the NBA after this season.
After the interview, I talk about Will Sheehey’s disappointing season and failure to establish himself as a reliable third scoring option behind Yogi Ferrell and Noah Vonleh. Next I’ll go “by the numbers” with Penn State to give you a statistical analysis of Indiana’ opponent for tomorrow night. Finally, I analyze Indiana’s schedule the rest of the way and give you my prediction on exactly how the Hoosiers will fare the final eight regular season games. And yes, I’ll tell you if IU is destined for the NCAA Tournament, NIT or (gulp) neither.
