On this episode of CrimsonCast, Galen sits down on the patio of a local Bloomington establishment with Alex McCarthy of Inside Indiana to talk IU football in anticipation of the start of the 2014 season. Alex gives us the latest scoop from the fall practices and press conferences that the team has held, including updates on injuries and positional battles. We talk in depth about Nate Sudfeld’s assumption of full quarterbacking duties, and what can be reasonably expected from him over the course of the season. We also talk about the depth at WR and RB, and some of the question marks that surround the team on offense. The defense is also addressed, particularly the move to the 3-4 and the uncertainty over how much improvement has been made so far by that unit. We then finish up with general predictions from Alex about this season’s record, as well as Alex’s desire to see the team play a bowl game in a non-traditional location.
Be sure to check out CrimsonCast on Sundays this fall, as we will be resuming our live recap shows breaking down the games. Also, keep your ears open for our new recap show, starring Michael Rayome and others, on Mondays or Tuesdays after game weeks. We’ll have more info for you on those as the season progresses.
